A misconfigured connection pool limit in the Stripe integration caused all payment threads to block after a traffic spike. The pool size was set to 10 instead of 100 during a config migration.

Added connection pool size to infrastructure-as-code with automated validation. Created a load test that verifies pool exhaustion does not occur at 3x peak traffic.
