Scissors

The scissors icon represents a cutting or trimming action, often used to symbolize editing, crafting, or precision. Its origin dates back to the physical tool used for cutting various materials.

In software applications, the scissors icon appears in interfaces related to editing or cutting actions. For instance, it might be used in graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop to represent a cutting or trimming tool. Similarly, it could be used in a text editor like Notion to signify a cutting or editing feature.

From a UX perspective, the scissors icon communicates a sense of precision and editing capability, helping users understand that they can modify or trim content. It aids in navigation by indicating features related to editing or cutting actions.
