Drop an SVG
Drop an SVG file or choose one; it is read and drawn by your browser.

As drawn, or 16 to 1024 pixels on the longer side; the drawing is redrawn at that size.

Questions and answers
Before you trust the result: what to know about the format, the limits, your data and the tools next to it.
Support is uneven. Social networks reject SVG uploads, most email clients block it, Office and many CMS fields won't render it, and older software can't open it. PNG works everywhere, keeps the transparency, and at a large enough size looks the same as the vector.
For the web, twice the displayed size covers retina screens: a 100-pixel icon as a 200-pixel PNG. For print, multiply the inches by 300: a two-inch logo is 600 pixels. Because the SVG is a vector you can come back and export another size any time.
Yes. PNG carries a full alpha channel, so a transparent background and any translucent shapes come through as they are. Where you want a solid background instead, use the SVG to JPG converter, which asks for one.
PNG size grows with the pixel count: a 2048-pixel export is sixteen times the pixels of a 512 one. Export the size you will use, and run the PNG through the compressor when it matters.
As drawn, the output is the size the SVG declares: its width and height, or its viewBox when it has no width and height. Pick 16 to 1024 instead and the longer side becomes that many pixels, with the ratio kept. The SVG is redrawn at that size, not scaled up from a small bitmap, so a 24-pixel icon exported at 1024 is as crisp as the vector.
The browser draws it, so what the browser can't fetch isn't drawn: a font that isn't embedded falls back to a system font, and an image or stylesheet linked by URL is skipped. Convert text to paths and embed images as data URIs before exporting.
No. The file is read and drawn by your browser, and the page makes no request with it. You can load the page, go offline and keep working; nothing is stored either, so reload and it is gone.
No. The SVG to PNG converter is free and opens without a sign-in, an account or an install.
Up to 20 MB per file, the limit the tool states under its drop area. A larger file is refused with a plain message instead of being decoded.
No, it takes one file at a time. If you drop or choose several, only the first is used; run the tool again for the next one.
It draws the SVG's own markup at the size you ask for, through the browser's renderer, so edges are crisp at any size. The status line says 'from the vector' for an SVG and 'from the bitmap' if you drop a raster image instead.
As drawn (the SVG's width and height, or its viewBox), or the longer side at 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 or 1024 px, keeping the ratio. Transparency is kept in the PNG.
