Questions and answers
Before you trust the result: what to know about the format, the limits, your data and the tools next to it.
Sentence case capitalizes the first letter of each sentence and lowers the rest: the way prose is written. Title case capitalizes the first letter of every word, the way headlines and book titles are often set. This tool's title case capitalizes every word; house styles that keep small words like 'of' and 'the' lower-case are a matter of taste, so it leaves that to you.
They are the naming conventions of code. camelCase joins words with each inner word capitalized (userName), PascalCase capitalizes the first too (UserName), snake_case joins with underscores (user_name), kebab-case with hyphens (user-name) and CONSTANT_CASE is snake_case in capitals (USER_NAME). JavaScript variables use camelCase, classes and React components PascalCase, Python and Rust snake_case, CSS classes and URLs kebab-case, and environment variables CONSTANT_CASE.
Yes. The converter splits words on spaces, punctuation and existing camelCase boundaries, so 'userFirstName' becomes 'user_first_name' in snake_case and 'user-first-name' in kebab-case. Acronyms are kept together: 'XMLHttpRequest' splits into xml, http and request.
Alternating case flips between lower and upper with every character ('hElLo WoRlD'), a joke style from internet culture. Inverse case swaps the case of every letter, so 'Hello World' becomes 'hELLO wORLD', which is handy when a text was typed with Caps Lock on by mistake.
No. The conversion is a few string operations that run in your browser as you type; the page makes no request with your text. You can load it, go offline and keep converting.
Pick the case from the select above the panes; the result updates immediately for the text already in the input, and with every keystroke afterwards. Switching the case doesn't touch your input, so you can try several in a row.
Yes. Upper, lower, sentence, title, alternating and inverse keep the text exactly as it is apart from letter case. The code cases (camel, Pascal, snake, kebab, constant) work line by line, so a list of names converts to a list of identifiers.
The converter uses the browser's Unicode-aware case mapping, so accented letters and non-Latin scripts with a case (Greek, Cyrillic) convert too. Scripts without case, like Chinese or Arabic, pass through unchanged.
No. The Text case converter is free and opens without a sign-in, an account or an install.
11 cases: UPPER CASE, lower case, Sentence case, Title Case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE, aLtErNaTiNg, iNVERSE.
Yes. Drop a text file onto the input or choose it with the file button, and the converted text can be copied or downloaded as converted.txt.
The Sample button fills the input with example text so you can step through the cases and see each one.

The tool is free. Its interface is built from shadcn.io's own components (Button, Input, Slider and the rest of the registry under /ui), which come in React, Vue, Svelte and Solid. Pro adds the blocks and templates for the product around it.
